Terms and Conditions

General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

Status: September 2026

1. Scope of Application

These General Terms and Conditions apply to orders placed through the Tsola Sofia’s Tsoureki online shop and, where applicable, to orders from business and gastronomy customers.

By placing an order, you agree to the General Terms and Conditions published at the time of the order.

3. Offer and Conclusion of Contract

The presentation of our products in the online shop does not constitute a legally binding offer, but an invitation to place an order.

Before submitting your order, you can review and correct your information and the selected products.

By submitting the order, you place a binding order. You will then receive an electronic confirmation of receipt of your order.

For orders from business and gastronomy customers, we reserve the right to personally review the order before final acceptance. In particular, the order quantity, baking day, delivery or collection, and individual conditions can be coordinated before final confirmation.

4. Prices

All prices are quoted in Swiss Francs (CHF).

The price displayed in the online shop at the time of ordering is authoritative.

Any shipping or delivery costs will be shown separately before the order is completed.

Tsola Sofia’s Tsoureki is currently not subject to value-added tax. The prices stated therefore do not include value-added tax.

5. Handcrafted Production

Our products are handmade in small batches.

As a result, shape, colour, size, weight, and appearance may vary slightly from product images or from other items of the same product.

Such variations, which are typical for a handcrafted food product, generally do not constitute a defect.

Product images are intended to provide the most realistic representation possible. However, slight variations may occur depending on screen display and production batch.

6. Availability

We produce our products fresh and generally not in stock.

Should an ordered product be unavailable in exceptional cases or an order not be able to be produced as intended, we will inform you as soon as possible.

Payments already made for products that cannot be delivered will be refunded.

7. Baking Day, Shipping and Collection for Private Customers

Orders received by Wednesday at 6:00 PM are generally scheduled for our baking day on Thursday.

Shipping generally takes place on Thursday.

Collections are possible on Thursday and Friday after appropriate confirmation.

On holidays, in case of exceptionally high demand, or for operational reasons, baking day, shipping, or collection may deviate from this schedule. In this case, we will inform you in good time, if possible.

8. Business Customers and B2B Orders

Orders from business and gastronomy customers are individually reviewed.

Baking day, delivery, or collection will be coordinated depending on order quantity, location, and production planning.

Specific minimum order quantities may apply for individual products. The conditions specified for the respective product or in the B2B section are decisive.

An established B2B access does not give entitlement to specific delivery quantities, delivery dates, or territorial or location exclusivity.

Individually agreed conditions shall take precedence over these General Terms and Conditions in the relevant point.

9. Delivery and Collection

The delivery and collection options offered in the checkout or within the framework of an individual agreement are decisive.

You are responsible for providing complete and correct delivery and contact details when placing the order.

We cannot assume responsibility, to the extent legally permissible, for delays or additional costs incurred due to incorrect or incomplete information that was not caused by us.

For shipping orders, delivery times of the respective shipping service provider may vary. We have no direct influence on delays that occur after proper handover of the shipment to the shipping service provider and are beyond our control.

10. Payment

The payment methods offered in the respective checkout are available.

Payment processing may be handled by external payment service providers. Their respective terms and conditions may also apply.

For business and gastronomy customers, payment method and payment term can be individually agreed upon.

11. Changes and Cancellations

Our products are made fresh and partly specifically for a concrete order.

Requests for changes or cancellations must therefore be communicated as early as possible to

info@sofiastsoureki.com

Once production of an order has begun, a change or cancellation may no longer be possible.

A voluntary general right of return or withdrawal is not granted.

Mandatory legal rights, particularly for defective or incorrectly delivered products, remain reserved.

12. Inspection of Delivery and Complaints

Please check your order as soon as possible after receipt.

Should a product be damaged, incorrectly delivered, or not of perfect quality, please contact us as quickly as possible at

info@sofiastsoureki.com

If possible, please send us a brief description and a photo of the complaint.

We review every complaint personally and seek an appropriate solution.

Mandatory legal warranty rights remain reserved.

13. Ingredients and Allergens

The available information on ingredients and allergens can be found with the products and on the product labelling.

Our production processes gluten-containing cereals, eggs, milk, almonds, and sesame, among other things.

Despite careful work, unintentional cross-contamination cannot be completely ruled out.

In case of allergies or intolerances, we ask you to carefully check the respective product information and to contact us before placing an order if you have any ambiguities.

14. Storage and Shelf Life

Information on storage and shelf life can be found on the respective product labelling or in the product information.

We cannot assume responsibility, to the extent legally permissible, for quality impairments that arise after handover due to improper storage or handling.

15. Liability

Tsola Sofia’s Tsoureki is liable within the framework of legal provisions.

Liability for damages that are exclusively based on improper storage or use or on incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer is excluded to the extent legally permissible.

Mandatory legal liability provisions remain reserved.

16. Data Protection

Information on the processing of personal data can be found in our separate privacy policy.

17. Amendments to these GTC

Tsola Sofia’s Tsoureki may amend these General Terms and Conditions as needed.

For an order, the version applicable at the time of the conclusion of the contract is decisive.

18. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

Swiss law applies.

For consumers, the mandatory legal places of jurisdiction apply.

For disputes with business and gastronomy customers, Aarau is the exclusive place of jurisdiction, provided that no mandatory legal jurisdiction precludes this.
